Who we are
This website is run by Market Labs Artificial Intelligence Consultancy W.L.L. DBA Market Labs AI, registered in Qatar, CR No. 247221. Our studio is in Doha, Qatar. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean this company.
We decide how your personal data is used, so we are its “controller” under data protection law.
For anything about your data, email contact@marketlabshq.com.
What we collect and why
| When | What we collect | What we use it for | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| You ask for a free leak audit | Business name, your name, email, the business phone number, with its country code, type of business, website or Google profile (optional), whether you want your results by email or WhatsApp, a WhatsApp number if you choose WhatsApp, whether you want the Leak Report and whether you agree to text messages. | To run your audit, send you the results and email you once afterwards to ask if you have questions. | Our legitimate interest in running the audit you asked for and following up once. The Leak Report and text messages are by consent only. |
| You book a strategy call | Your name, email, mobile number, with its country code, business name, type of business, website or Google profile (optional), anything you tell us to cover, who referred you, whether you agree to text messages, the time you pick, the level you looked at and your time zone. | To arrange the call, send the time and video link, text you a reminder if you agree, ring your mobile once during the call to show the system working, prepare for the call and record a referral for the setup-fee waiver. | Steps you asked us to take before any contract. Text messages are by consent only. |
| You call, email or WhatsApp us | Your number or email address, your name if you give it, and what you tell us. | To reply and keep a record of what we discussed. | Our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or steps you asked us to take before a contract. |
| Any form on the site | The page you sent the form from, campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign), the site that linked you to us, the level you looked at on our pricing page, your country (worked out from your connection, not typed) and which of our sites you sent it from (the main site or the UK pages). | To see which pages and campaigns bring enquiries. | Our legitimate interest in knowing what works. |
| You visit the site | Your IP address and browser details, handled by our hosting provider to deliver pages and block attacks. | To run the site and keep it secure. | Our legitimate interest in a working, secure site. |
| You accept analytics cookies | Pages you visit, clicks, scrolling, device type and approximate location, linked to a random ID. See Website analytics. | To see which pages help and where people get stuck. | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. |
| You become a client | Contact and billing details, and what we need to set up and run your service. | To deliver the service, invoice you and keep accounts. | Our contract with you, and our legal duties (tax and accounting). |
We only ask for what we need. Where a field is optional, the form says so.
Our free leak audit and booking forms use a spam check from Cloudflare (Turnstile). To tell people from bots, it looks at how your browser behaves, and we send Cloudflare your IP address to check the result. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping spam out.
When we run a client’s workspace, we handle their customers’ data on the client’s behalf. The client’s own privacy notice covers that data, and our client agreement sets out how we look after it.
Free leak audits and the test calls we make
A leak audit tests what happens when a new customer gets in touch with a business. We audit businesses that ask us to, and some we choose ourselves as possible clients.
- We call the business’s public phone number after hours and send a WhatsApp or website enquiry, asking one simple question about a service.
- We note the time, whether anyone answered, how long a reply took and what the reply said. We do not record the call audio.
- We check the business’s Google profile and its website’s speed, using public information.
- We never book a slot. Every audit tells the business which calls and messages were ours, that nothing was booked and that nothing needs a reply.
The person who answers a test call or replies to a test message may be an employee. We keep only what the reply said and when, never anything else about them.
We turn the results into a short private video for the business. We share an audit video publicly only with the business owner’s permission.
We find the businesses we choose from public sources: Google Maps listings, their own websites and public business registers. For businesses that did not ask for an audit, we rely on our legitimate interest in showing a business a problem we can fix. We use business contact details only. Every email we send says how to stop hearing from us, and we stop as soon as you ask.
Leak Reports
Leak Reports are our research on how fast local businesses reply. They count audit results in anonymised totals, for example how many businesses answered a call after 6pm.
We never name a business or a person in a Leak Report, and never publish a result that could identify one.
If you tick the Leak Report box, we email you each new report, about once a month. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Text messages
We send text messages only if you tick the text message box on our free leak audit or booking form. The box is optional: you get your audit or your call either way. We record when you tick the box, the words beside it and the page it was on, and when you reply STOP, as proof of what you agreed to.
We text the number you gave us, about the request you made: updates and replies about your audit, or a reminder for your call that you can confirm by replying, and any changes to it. We do not send marketing texts.
Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help. Our text message terms set out the rest.
We never share or sell your mobile number, or your consent to receive texts, to anyone for their own marketing. Text-message opt-in data and consent are left out of all the sharing described in this policy, except with the providers that deliver our texts, who use them for nothing else.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Website analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits for everyone. It sets no cookies and does not track you across sites.
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity only run if you accept analytics cookies. Clarity records how people scroll and click, with every form field hidden, so nothing you type is recorded. We turn off Google’s advertising features and never send your name, email or phone number to either tool.
Our cookie policy lists every cookie and how to change your choice.
Where your data is stored
We are based in Qatar, and our providers store data in the United States and other countries. So your data may be handled outside the country you live in.
When UK or EU data leaves the UK or the EEA, we use the safeguards the law requires. These are an adequacy decision, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified providers, or standard contractual clauses (with the UK addendum for UK data).
How long we keep it
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Audit requests and audit results | 12 months after the audit, unless you become a client |
| Audit videos | 12 months after we send the video, then deleted |
| Notes from test calls and messages for audits nobody asked for | 12 months after the audit |
| Strategy call bookings | 24 months after the call, unless you become a client |
| Calls, emails and WhatsApp messages with us | 24 months after our last contact |
| Text message consent and opt-outs | 4 years after your last text with us, as a record of what you agreed to |
| Leak Report emails | Until you unsubscribe. We then keep your email address on a do-not-email list, so we never email you by mistake |
| Client records, invoices and accounts | For the contract, then as long as tax and accounting law requires (up to 10 years) |
| Google Analytics data | 14 months |
| Clarity recordings | 30 days (heatmaps and totals up to 13 months) |
Anonymised totals, like the figures in a Leak Report, contain no personal data, so we may keep them.
